Site Maintenance on Sunday

Hey folks, this is just a note to let you know that the site will be experiencing some upgrades on Sunday January 23, 2011 (Eastern Standard Time) through the early hours of Monday January 24. This will mean limited commenting ability, no posts from us for a few hours, and increased awesomeness at the end. Basically we’re changing servers, which, if you know anything about the intertubes (and I don’t), you realize means we have to unscrew our tube ports from the current cluster, have the tube gnomes move it to a different intersection (that of Sweet St and Awesome Ave, preferably), and then reattach it using special laser-guided ratchets.

I seriously have no idea how the internet works. But it is true that BFB will not be reachable for a bit. You can still Tweet at me at and I’ll probably respond with something about how the internet goblins are eating all of my pudding–and I love my pudding, get away you buggers. And I’ll also probably be watching RM-Mallorca and the various NFL games (the handegg cup semifinals, as one friend calls it) if you’d like to engage me in “intelligent” “conversation” about those.

Kevin’s review should be up shortly, which means you get to enjoy that, even if you can’t comment on it. Yay.

  1. Kxevin is the man. He told Phil Schoen to lay off of Valdes on twitter and he actually responded.

You should’ve also asked Phil (politely) to retire, Kxevin.

    1. Oh, and thanks a ton for letting us know about fbtz opening registration. I am now fully registered and experiencing the awesomeness! 😀

    2. I’ve scored some gems as well. Have the 1973 Manita over Madrid as well as the 2006 Champions League Final so far.

  2. If you want something else to entertain you, I think someone asked a while back about translations for the Xavi 550 programme, and I don’t know if anyone ever responded…but below is a link to someone who’s written out the script (in english). I don’t know how accurate it is, as I don’t speak catalan (if I did, I wouldn’t have needed the translation!), but I enjoyed watching/reading regardless.

(the link is to the fourth part; links to all other parts are at the top)

    1. Whoa. That’s useful.
If only somebody can insert those texts in the video, that would be great!
I remember last time I downloaded a subtitle for a movie, it was in a wordpad file, so we could change the text’s ourselves.
I’m sure it’s something similar for this one.
