    1. I have the flashblock extension for Chrome and another similar thing for Firefox. Cuts out all the advertising.

  1. I just watched a documentary about the last classico. They showed footage of the players arriving, The referee in his hotel room, Places around the world getting ready for the match. They showed the highlights of the match with different camera angles with awesome background music. At the end they showed each player with some comments like Raul :”In the Summer, He moved to Schalke and it his last classico”. If felt so movie-esque.

    1. Link to that movie: Real Madrid vs. Barcelona 2010: The Movie

Only thing is the text is kinda off, but you don’t really need to see the whole thing to get the gist.

    2. I recommend every body to get al jazeera sport channel (JSC)
they cover everything that is important in the world of football.

    1. Oh, and Quique had a bit of a meltdown:

  2. “Video: Young Gerard Pique http://bit.ly/fWVxru [canal+]” (barcastuff)

I saw this video on AS yesterday but I forgot to post the link.

I would love to see full matches of that team playing. It’s amazing to see that Pique still plays the exact same way and it was also cool seeing Victor Vazquez (the star of the team back then), Cesc, and Messi (even tho you don’t see him touch the ball) in the vid. Great stuff.

  4. Kari:

You might have already posted it and I missed it, but there is a gif from the 2-6 match that is the best ever. It shows all the goals intercut with shots of Casillas looking pissed off. Do you have it?

  5. I am also desperately trying to find a picture I saw once. It is of a teenaged Iniesta, captain of his team, lined up next to his opposing captain before kickoff. The other captain (I think he is Russian or Ukrainian maybe?) is literally almost twice Andres’ size.

Does anyone have an idea where I could find it? I forget where I originally saw it!

    1. holy crap, Iniesta looks atleast 11 years old lmfao. as if the other captain is the same age, no way, looks like Iniesta was playing above his age group.

    2. Umm…. a little luck lol.

I searched in google for things like “Iniesta young” and couldn’t find it, so then I looked at the youtube videos of him in youth tournaments, no luck. Then finally with one last search, I typed in “Iniesta pequeno” and it was there.

Dude looks older than the refs, lol.

  6. New Sid article

  7. Wow, woke up this morning to my usual diet of the football writers on Sunday Supplement and the main “news” is the move of Guardiola to Chelsea. Seems to be no doubt that Abramovich is a great Barca fan and that Ancellotti is on the way out but I’m not understanding the rest of it.

    1. They were quite clear that Guardiola has fallen out with the “top ones” at Barcelona and is looking for a way out. Now, I refuse to believe that Rosell is that stupid. If he lets Pep go and it coincides with a downfall in our fortunes he’s finished. Other than Chiggy I’m not seeing a huge interference in the playing side.

    2. Why would Guardiola want to go to Chelsea? An old team and not one that plays in a style Pep would tolerate. Would Abramovich open the wallet again? And Pep loses his best chance to become a legend with our current team. No manager would be lucky enough to have two sets of players of that quality – when we think of SAF his various teams have really all been built around the nucleus of his golden youngsters. Even if Pep were to get money to spend I’m not convinced he’s a great buyer of players but I reckon we need to get some contracts tied up soon !

Hopefully all this is just fluff in the papers but just the tone of the conversation seemed more definite than their usual speculation.

Just what I need on wakening up to a foot of snow on my doorstep ๐Ÿ™ (That’s a lot in Scotland, btw, for you Chicagoans who don’t start counting until until its at least double that).

    Thoughts?

    1. Sorry, Blitzen. It was on Sky Sports this morning around 9am UK time. Not sure where to find it on the net.

    2. Guardian says Chelsea deny the story.

  8. Have you guys seen the new cover pic of the official site? (Or has it been there since a while and I haven’t noticed it?)

Villa and Dani are giving kick ass looks, while Keitee is there with the usual “Huh?What?” look ๐Ÿ™‚
And Bojan, what the hell, needs to work on it…he looks like he’s terrified of the camera itself or something ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. I think it’s a pretty nice picture. I don’t think Bojan could look intimidating even if he tried. It doesn’t seem like he’s got the right kind of face for it.

Can’t wait for Monday. Or should I say Tuesday morning in my case. ๐Ÿ˜› It’s going to be my very first El Clasico! Good thing my fingernails are already too short to chew on.

P.S. Love the picture in this post.

    2. Let’s hope your first Clasico is a win!

You really should download the 6-2 at the Bernabeu or try to catch a replay sometime… haha, its like the closest you can get to that wonderful 08/09 season condensed into a little pill that can be easily swallowed (ie. without downloading fifty games of the season but just ninety minutes)

    3. I think I’ll download that match after this one. ๐Ÿ˜€ Believe me, I’m going to have all fingers and toes crossed for luck. I’d do the eyes too but it’d be a bit hard to admire the way our team plays with crossed eyes.

  9. Not to pick on Madrid fans or anything but even neutrally one would have to admit this particular comment is hilarious:

AntiBarcelona (11/28/2010 at 5:22 PM) Report Violation
this is a very biased barca article and when I read that CR7 is described as a female I knew immediatley that this is another bandwagoner article. I cant wait for the barca fans now claim that Messi is the best player and make predictions of barca wins, but the truth about the matter is that messi is not comparable to CR7, if ronaldo and messi both existed in the pre-historic dinosaur era and a dinosaur was chasing both messi and CR7 then the dinosaur will simply rundown messi and eat him, CR7 will be sprinting past. CR7 also has much better shooting and dribbling ability. Any unbiased fan will agree that CR7 is the best player.

    Repeating:

But the truth about the matter is that messi is not comparable to CR7, if ronaldo and messi both existed in the pre-historic dinosaur era and a dinosaur was chasing both messi and CR7 then the dinosaur will simply rundown messi and eat him, CR7 will be sprinting past.

Oh my God I laughed so so hard at that. The comparison. My God.

    1. It seems that is their trademark these days. Ever since the Inter game in San Siro that they lost 4-3, it seems like Spurs don’t get going until their a goal down. I think they’ve made the most comeback wins after going down 1-0 of all the teams in Europe. That’s impressive.

Plus I saw the game, and the commentator said “Oh, the irony, Liverpool get sunk by a man named Lennon”. Haha.

  10. Hey guys, you should check out this picture that I made myself:

  11. we are entering a special epoch of clasicos – the pep and moumou era… hoping this is one of many. being the first, you could argue that this really is a major event in human history as much as almost anything else. ๐Ÿ™‚ because sport is part of culture, and this is a globally significant sporting (cultural) event of the highest degree.

so glad to be here for it. 26 more hours, im dying.
