On a sad note… Yaya didn’t celebrate much, it looked like he was taking it all in as if it was his final game. :(

I am watching it live. Yaya is covering his head by the barca colors. He usually celebrate with responsibility so he doesnt damage anything anything without notice. dont read any passive things and keep it all for fun tonight.

Congrats to the team, awesome game! I was really impressed by the intensity everyone showed from the beginning, no complacency there.

I feel bad for Valladolid, especially on that first (own) goal, what a heart breaker.

Does anyone know happened with the trophy?

Congradulations!! I’m still in a state of euphoria. Wanted to come in here and show all of you love since I haven’t been blogging along with everyone(although I’ve been reading all the post and articles). It was sad to see that this was potentially Ibra’s and the Yaya’s, and definately Henry’s last game.

    Força Barça!!! Visca Catalunya

  30. ooga aga says:

looking on youtube for film of us (puyol) lifting the trophy, cant find one! espn cut away too soon from their coverage….or at least my streaming link did…

  31. Ciaran says:

I honestly think that both Ibra & The Yaya will still be here next year.
    Why change a winning formula?
We need another creative midfielder to add to the squad and need to add a forward to replace the outgoing Henry. Maybe a second choice rightback if you want to be picky but thats it. I would very much like if we picked up a decent substitute goalkeeper just in case anything happened to VV. Pinto is a great guy to have in the dressing room but I wouldn’t trust him in any big matches.
    Valdes & Pinto
Pique, Puyol, Marquez, Botia, Milito, Henrique & Chygrynskiy
    Abidal & Maxwell
Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Yaya & Keita PLUS a creative midfielder
Messi, Pedro, Ibra, Bojan & a replacement for Henry

Not a bad squad to continue to build on the success of the last 5/6 years. Plenty of youth, a good mix of experience & plenty of athleticism in the right areas. I do think that we have 2 or 3 too many central defenders as I qould only count on Pique, Puyol, Milito & Botia.

  32. vicsoc8 says:

Just finished watching the game, and I’m ecstatic. Although I do feel for Valladolid, especially after the first goal.

    Visca el Barca

YAY! Can’t wait till tomorrow to poke around the interwebs and read all of the “Real Madrid Haz a Sad” stories.

  35. jnelson says:

Alluding to what Pep said about wishing we were in the Champions League Final as well, here are our Champions League results from the last few years:
    2005-2006: Champions
    2006-2007: Knockout Stage (2-2 AG)
    2007-2008: Semi-Finals (0-1)
    2008-2009: Champions
    2009-2010: Semi-Finals (3-2)
This is strictly for everyone disappointed that we are not Champions League winners as well. Who else has a 5 year run like that? You can’t win them all and all in all this has been a GREAT season, and Ibra has been very valuable.

  36. Bill says:

Is it true that some fools made the decision to take the trophy to Madrid thinking they will win, thats why it wasn’t availlable?

  37. Blow-Grenade says:

Congrats to Pep and the team on a job well done!!!!

  39. Patrick says:

Perfect game to end a season. Scored before I could get too nervous, and then Messi took it to the house.

Two amazing goals — and the fact that he single handedly (at least as well as you can do in football) created Pedro’s goal. Despite Yaya’s play, he my MOTM/MOTS.
