So, no liga or CL. Expect an announcement?

They’ll probably still get the cup though

No way that’ll satisfy the Madrid hierarchy. He’s a goner.

I don’t think it will be announced til the season is over. He was always going to leave this summer. And although it would probably be a good thing if he stayed (bye bye Iker and Sergio Ramos), to see him leave without the decima and having surrendered the league halfway through his last season smells like…Victory

We’ll not throw that away but you’re right to point it out. If we go out tomorrow I’d like the league to go on for a week or more so we put a distance from the disappointment and can enjoy it properly.

The word is Ancelloti have already agreed the terms with RM to take over from next season.

So why did ITV cut Mou of? and does this mean CR will win balon d’or since he has pichichi in CL? ;)Am I the only happy cule that la decimal was not achieved by Mou? Don’t like the guy.

I don’t understand why this post is up in a barcelona blog…We have our own problems to deal with…Its not like we have won anything or in a very good position in CL to mock our eternal rivals with a separate post…We have to set out our house in order first..

Given our situation, Madrid not winning the CL was most definitely extremely important for us

Yup. To be honest though, the day RM win la decima I will heartily congratulate them. It will be a great achievement in world football for a great club. Being a cule won’t stop me from recognizing it.

That said I would HATE for Mourinho to be the one to win it. I’ve never liked Real Madrid, but pre-Mou I at least respected them. But I couldn’t stand the idea of that man leading RM to a CL trophy. So I REALLY hope this season is his last at the Bernabeu.

    • April 30, 2013

If we can’t win, the next best thing is Madrid losing. You say yourself they are our “eternal rivals”. Seems pretty simple…

Our own problems can be left aside for a moment and we should enjoy our beloved RM facing another “humiliation”.
Don’t tell me you weren’t happy with the result tonight?

La decima kicked into the abyss! I couldnt be more happier. Now I don’t care if we qualify for the finals or not. Bayern can beat us 9-0 but it won’t hurt a bit, why? Cos la decima is roasting in the abyss and oilcan won’t have an edge in the balon d’or. Lol

Are you entirely serious? I’m all for schadenfreude and all but no way will getting eliminated in the CL semi not hurt. I care a lot if we qualify or not. I do not give a shit about them.

nah! Not at all,but it won’t hurt me that much,if we don’t qualify. Though i’ve undefinable confidence that we’ll qualify

    @simple_barcafan

I wouldn’t exactly call it a post since it took less than 2 minutes to paint the cow yellow and add the caption, but I put it on the site because, let’s face it, what are we gonna talk about right after that team got kicked out of the CL?

Like it or not, this game was one of the most important games of our season. The culés that would be happy with our league title while M*drid is celebrating their decima are few and between – to be honest I don’t know any. The thought of them winning the CL with Mourinho at the helm is simply unbearable.

Take it from one who has supported our team for almost 25 years now, there is no Barça without M*drid. Our failures and successes are intertwined. They are the ying to our yang and if they didn’t exist, somebody would have to invent them.

    • April 30, 2013

TBH for me it’s less about Madrid not winning “La Decima” as Mourinho not winning his 3rd CL title. That man has brought such poison to La Liga over the last 3 years, and I cannot wait to see the back of him. That he has to leave with only one league title, one CDR (maybe two), and a SuperCopa makes it so much sweeter.

I dislike RM immensely, but I never outright hated them until Mourinho came along. Maybe once he has gone we can go back to an intense but respectful rivalry. Well, I can dream.

“TBH for me it’s less about Madrid not winning “La Decima” as Mourinho not winning his 3rd CL title.”

Or the combination of the two: Mourinho winning the decima with M*drid would make me sick to my stomach.

          May 1, 2013

It’s not just those two things to me – it’s also the fact that after the 6-2 thrashing at the Bernabeu, they went and spent half a billion to assemble the squad. And if that squad had won it, it would not have been good for the game. Which, BTW, makes me all the happier that it was Dortmund that knocked them out as one can have nothing but admiration for that club and its policies.

        April 30, 2013

I feel the same way you do Blitzen. It’s not about RM winning la decimal, It’s about them winning it with Mou in charge that would hurt the most and I’m glad that they failed to advance tonight and include CR to that bracket but, to a lesser extent. I cant stomach Mou. Could be a very nice guy but, from how I see him he is an @$$.

    • The last 10 minutes were as terrible, as if I was from Dortmund.

so glad Mou wont win the CL with RM.

Mou begone. He’s not healthy for spanish national side. I was hoping lopez getting more beating. Kinda hurts to see san iker on bench.

  10. May 1, 2013

Agreed. I can care less of Madrid winning la decima but if mou won them la decima I would have probably cried.
I know I’m not the only one but I follow some Madrid matches just to see them lose. Take last year for example. Penaldo not being able to take his penalty against bayern made me really happy inside.
Anywho looks like mou is headed to England. Question is who will replace him and who will EE pick up this summer transfer window.

  11. May 1, 2013

About tomorrow. I see us going through if we play at 100%. Tito’s plan is to score two before the half. If this happens, i definitely see us going through. I dent understand why people already write us off. If I would have said that bayern would beat us 4-0 everyone would have thought I was crazy. Why can’t we do the same at our house? With Sanchez hitting form and messi’s peach of a goal on Saturday I have hope. We can’t concede.
This will be a very important game for song and piqué.

Schadenfreude would have been if we had deservedly lost only 0-2 to Bayern and would have seen this Mou led team lose to the fantastic Dortmund.

But down 0-4, I don’t feel that much elated at Madrid’s loss, because for one, the loss was expected after their first leg, and two, Barca is in too big a hole for cules to be thrilled at their arch enemy’s woes.

Having said all that, if Barca puts up as much of a fight as Madrid did yesterday (warts & all), it would be good to feel better even if the team falls short of a remontada.

Of course it was important that Madrid lost! You can’t expect to win the CL every year (or even every other year like lately) and winning the league always means the season is a success…as long as Madrid doesn’t win the CL! Now let’s see what happens tonight and if no miracle happens just let it be and let’s hope we win the league at home on Sunday!

I’ll be happy if Barça could put as much pressure on Bayern as Madrid on Dortmund!

      – Agree. But the difference is BVB havent played in CL semifinal since ages, so there might be a nervous factor. Unlike Bayern that was always a serious contender for CL in the last decade. They have much better experience and mental strengh compare to BVB.

      – Just hope they get awe by playing in Camp Nou against our dynamic tiki taka and make mistakes here and there

      Visca Barca!

Deeply insightful post, I must say.
I wouldn’t call it total schadenfreude though. I mean, the only thing I was thinking towards the end of the game was I hope to god, that my team shows the same resolve tomorrow. I’d be proud of my team and happy, even with the result if we win by 2 goals.
People, that game was close. BVB were quite flustered in the end. That’s all we need to do too: Keep the dream alive. I really don’t care if we don’t go through. Hell even in an FCB-BVB final, I would accept a BVB win as deserved winners of this year’s CL. They have dazzled. We have scraped through. And I love their story.

Like Tito said, we have to get one or two goals before half time (without conceding) in order to make Bayern under heavy pressure throughout 2nd half.

Madrid 1st goal just came a bit late, after the first goal, the mood of the game change drastically and boost the confidence of madrid. We have to put pressure like madrid did to dortmund in that last 10 minutes for the whole 90 minutes.

We were hit for four goals before Madrid even stepped on the pitch, and my friends kept sending me a picture of Mourinho pointing and laughing. Now they are out already before us. There is something humorous about that.
