Athletico – Barcelona Prematch

Barcelona travel to the Vicente Calderon today to take on Athletico Madrid. The landscape in the league was a lot different than when we beat them 5-0 at home in the sixth match day. Villa, Afellay, and Fontas are still on the long term injury list, but the rest of the first team and Tello traveled. The match starts at 21:30 in Spain and 3:30 PM EST.

On a side note I won’t be able to liveblog today. I haven’t heard from Kari but I don’t think she is able to either. If you have a burning desire post here or email team@barcelonafootballblog.com.

I completely forgot about it, then turned it on in time to catch the second half of extra time and the penalty shootout. I couldn’t believe my eyes!

This is one of the interesting aspect of Carling and FA Cup in EPL. The lower division team always doing great, give their all for this competition and not a surprise anymore if lots of big team crushed, sometimes they make the final and win it too.
