Man of the Match, Champions League edition

Yes, it hurts. But we still have to vote, so suck it up.

abidal gets some love from me this time. sometimes i wonder if this is same guy who got so much stick from lot of us last year.

I gave it to The Yaya. I thought it was his best game all year and he could have capped it with a point saving goal. The tackle or should I say missed tackle was weak, though. Still, he would have done better at CB than Marquez did.

When you watch that goal again, though, that was the only play that he had. The guy was already almost full-tilt boogie, so The Yaya wasn’t going to catch him. That sliding tackle attempt was his only option. Even a professional foul was out of the question.

And yes, Yogi. I’m taking some credit only for supporting Abidal during those times with “He isn’t as bad as everyone thinks,” and “Be patient.”

But that’s my standard thing. I even used it with Hleb. 😀

thats what i thought about hleb as well..
    he shouldve gotten more minutes!
i always thought that abidal was OK but this year he’s been one of the best performers in this team.

i love yaya..hopefully those rumors of him joining man city are false
    we would really suffer..
i cant remember which player said it in 2007, but he said that yaya is the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle..

There should be a “no one” option sometimes…

i voted marquee mark marquez just out of spite, but i really liked watching the interplay between ibra & iniesta. add a healthy henry or suarez or wilian in january to the equation & i think this barca has what it takes to retain a couple titles.

Benfica beat Everton 5-0, Keirrison again did NOT play for a single second!
What the heck is going on? He’s been loaned to them for the purpose of getting a lot more playing time than he’d have gotten here. So why did Benfica want him if he doesn’t get any chance there either? Either he has to play more frequently or he should be loaned to another team. Right now, it’s a shame! and 15 mio € (or how much was he?) spent for nothing… 🙁

What I find weird is that a guy that is supposedly potentially Barca suality is 5th choice in Benefica No offense to Benefica but I mean seriously if He isn’t starting every game there hw can he be considered in Barcelona. Do you think Bojan would be th pick behind Saviola of all people!!

If Bojan go to Boca he may not start any games. This boy is new in Europe. Patience…

Im against singing anymore “Traffic” players.I like K9 though, but with all the forwards Benfica had, it wasnt the best place to send him.

Keirrison is a work in progress. Jordi’s right about the locale being bad for him.
