I cheered a bit when the USMNT scored to tie 2-2 against Costa Rica; I felt bad for the Ticos who were going to have to face Uruguay in the playoff, but here’s something that will allow you to understand why Honduras going to the World Cup is pretty freakin’ cool too. It’s in Spanish and it’s the radio, but I think you’ll know when the US scores the tying goal.
Who says football isn’t powerful?
(Thanks to Bill Simmons’ twitter for this one)

See Gai Assulin, Iniesta, Cesc and Tito Vilanova in Nikes new Iphone App. “Nike Master Control”
Just downloaded it; will try it out this afternoon.
The show starts at 58 seconds in. Diego Armando Maradona at his most humble and courteous best:

I like the intro the Anchorman gave. Basically ” we all now Maradona is a troubled, Drug-addicted, alcoholic with a personality disorder but yesterday he went over the top”
“SUCK IT!”
any word on ibra’s injury/status for saturday?
I am going to listen to “primer toc” on RAC1 (catalan radio station) at 10 AM PST. I am pretty sure they will have an update. I will post here as soon as I know something.
thank you kindly good sir.
Ibra says he is fine.
Says he feels a slight pain on his knee but days he thinks he will be fine to play but that he will have to see.
Henry 10 days out.
Messi took a private plane back to Barcelona so he could come on time to play at the Mestalla.
New quote from Primer Toc,
