Some one please provide some streaming links, it’s frustrating not being able to watch Barca live in India. For my proxy settings only maxxed tv worked till now, only once, now it shows max number of streams being used for your country 🙁
    PLEASE do help

I have never been so infuriated by such an embarrassing display of simply incompetent reffing and complete, disgusting unprofessional play by what I can’t even call an athlete (Weligton). I could ranting on and on, dropping more expletives than a whole fleet of sailors, but I digress. I hope Kxevin lays down the hammer in his review.

        to 😀 😀 :D?

I think pedro! did just fine, he associates more with his team mates and causes more chaos in the offense… plus he really handles with both feet.

he was horrible but we won anyway. It was a tough game I really enjoyed it. old skool!!

      can’t wait for keita’s rating!

  11. September 26, 2009

Its a credit to Pep and the team that we won such a gritty, dirty game as this. If Ferreira Delgado (ref) doesnt get suspended after this shameful performance….

Ugh, just read that it was the same ref from last years match against Espanyol when Barca lost. RAGE.

Happy for Ibra and happy with the clean sheet.

Delgado Ferreiro reffed the Espanyol game at camp nou last season so this is nothing new from him.Welongton and should be suspended.

Sport and EMD are all guns, and firing, at Weligton.. It would be a shame if the officials didnt look into it

    IN WELINGTON’s Defense…

yes, Welington was shameful out there, yes, he should have been sent off 4 times, but honestly guys, if the referee let you do it all game long, wouldn’t you?

Not only did the referee let Welington have his way with everyone’s ankles, but he also looked the other way for 3-4 penalties, 2 of which were clear as day pks.

Also, the league should watch the match again, and start adding up suspensions for Welington. The most obvious ones of course were purposely stepping on Messi twice, and then hitting Pique with a closed fist where his head was cut open on wednesday. Sorry Brandao… you just got outdid…

  21. September 26, 2009

    What’s up with the Brasileiros?

Wellington really did go over Brandao. Great observation, Jason. I am still incensed at the quality of the ref though. The GOL TV Espanol commentators saw that when Wellington stepped on Messi the second time the ref was literally looking away from the ball. WTF!??! What the hell was he looking at?

  22. September 26, 2009

I guess that Soccernet thinks is winning readers because they make shit up and they want a piece of that:

Apparently Duda got sent off and not Albert Luque…sigh.

The ref was scared to make a call. That’s what we decided where I was watching. What a pussy. Seriously, wtf, dude?

Weligton actually does take Brandao’s spot as Club Enemy #2. Obviously Crynaldo is number 1. F both those guys. Weligton deserves a 3 match ban. Period.

I can’t believe Piquenbauer pulled a Keita with that second shot. And whats up with Henry? He’s lucky he left early. I have a feeling he would have been the most banged up of everyone had he stayed in. A recap on missed fouls, most of which should have been reds:

    Weligton stepping on Messi
Someone kneeing Messi in the groin
Xavi Torres fouling Ibra in the box
Weligton bringing down Messi in the box
Someone bringing down P! in the box
Weligton punching (closed fist) Pique in the side of the head
Weligton bringing down Ibra in the box
    Duda fouling Dani Alves
Weligton bringing down Messi in the box

and many many more (although less significant)
And I thought the last few matches had poor reffing…

Ethically speaking, it shouldn’t matter if you are “allowed” to do something or not by an authoritative figure. If what you do is ethically wrong then that’s all there is to it. Deliberately kicking, stomping, and punching opposing players is ethically wrong. End.

Yes this Wellington figure needs to be suspended. So many aggressive actions cannot be passed off as accidental. This guy seriously has an entire book to write on this game alone. A very shameful display.

And this referee needs to pack his things and fuck off somewhere. How many penalties did he miss? How many calls did he ignore? Oh, that’s right. %50 of them, most of which were for Barca. Again, shameful display. And as mentioned previously, this isn’t the first game he has had like this against Barcelona. It’s the second in recent memory.

Isn’t Pedro also the one who gave Pique that ball he put high over the net?
